The Penang SME Go Digital Campaign brings together a complete suite of services to support all types of Penang SMEs from micro and small, to medium and large to sell online.

Campaign components are tailored to journey with SMEs from LEARN, to EQUIP and finally to EXPERIENCE with special ONE-TIME offerings by strategic partners.

Micro-SME

What is Micro-SME?

Sales turnover and the number of full-time employees are the two criteria used in determining the definition with the “OR” basis as follows:

For the manufacturing sector, Micro-SMEs are defined as firms with sales turnover not exceeding RM300,000 OR number of full-time employees not exceeding 5.

For the services and other sectors, the definition of Micro-SMEs is the same.

Enterprise-SME

What is Enterprise-SME?

Sales turnover and the number of full-time employees are the two criteria used in determining the definition with the “OR” basis as follows:

For the manufacturing sector, SMEs are defined as firms with sales turnover not exceeding RM50 million OR the number of full-time employees not exceeding 200.

For the services and other sectors, SMEs are defined as firms with sales turnover not exceeding RM20 million OR the number of full-time employees not exceeding 75.

Samenta - Digital Penang

RM 1,000 State Government Incentive

Apply for an incentive of RM1,000 from Penang State Government Bantuan Khas Kewangan (BKK) when you sell on a Business-to-Business (B2B) platform. In view of our proposal to YAB Chow Kon Yeow, the State government has approved a one-off grant of RM 1,000 each for 1,000 SMEs to help finance the effort to digitalise their operations by embarking on a B2B platform.

SAMENTA is very grateful for the financial assistance from the Penang State Government and is honoured to be chosen to lead this digitalization initiative. We are working closely with Digital Penang and have selected 4 local B2B platforms to be on the panel.

As we are receiving public funds, we have to ensure that the grant is utilized for its intended outcome. To ensure the efficacy of the grant, we have compiled a List of Criteria (see attached) to determine that only those who are eligible would be considered.

This funding should serve as a catalyst to spur our Penang SMEs to embrace the Digitalisation Journey. It is not the end of all but, a start for those who are still waiting to digitalise their business. The necessity to pivot and transform becomes more urgent as SMEs have to adapt to the New Norm. There would also be other programmes that would be rolled out by Digital Penang and SMEs should watch that space closely for more information.

How To Apply

Step 1 - Click on the button Below "Apply For Grant"

Step 2 - Select the date and time & if you are a SAMENTA member tick "YES" and enter your membership no, else if your not a SAMENTA member proceed to tick "NO"

Step 3 - Fill up the Applicant & Company Informations

**IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE YOU TICK EQUILIBRIUM SOLUTION AS THE B2B Platform**

Step 4 - Upload your SSM documents, make sure to select the proper status, and ensure you upload all the needed documents based on the request. Select to choose and add a new field for new file upload.

Step 5 - Upload the receipt or letter of confirmation (Request it from Us) and finally fill up the bank details and your Bank Statement Header with Company Name and Account Number

Step 6 - Last Step, make sure you have uploaded the bank statement header. Once you have completed everything, kindly double-check the details and tick on "I hereby declare.." and submit, Please do inform us so that we can assist to follow up with SAMENTA / Digital Penang
